first_imgNorford will start off the bench for the North Queensland Cowboys when they take on the Auckland Warriors in the NRL Toyota Cup grand final at ANZ Stadium on Sunday at 2.00pm. The Norford family has had a strong association with Touch Football over the years, with parents Debbie and Mark both representing Australia, while sons Nathan, Luke and Jason are all representative Touch Football players as well. Nathan was a part of the 2008 and 2009 National Youth Championships’ (NYC) Queensland Secondary Schools Touch (QSST) 18’s Boys teams, and was part of their 2008 NYC final win. He was also part of the North Queensland Tropical Cyclones 18’s Boys team that made the semi finals of the 2010 NYC event. Jason recently followed in Nathan’s footsteps, winning the 2011 NYC title with QSST over New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges, while Luke was part of the Touch Football Australia (TFA) Indigenous Tour to New Zealand in 2010, and also represented the Queensland Pride in the 2011 Elite Eight series. Touch Football Australia would like to congratulate Nathan on his grand final appearance and wish him all the best for Sunday’s game.last_img
