IMFWB Joint Meeting Moroccos Minister Urges For Consolidation of Regional Integration

first_imgWashington – Morocco’s Delegate-Minister for Budget, Driss El Azami El Idrissi, urged for consolidating regional integration and South-South cooperation.The delegate-minister who took part in Washington in the Development Committee of the International monetary fund and World Bank underscored that regional integration and South-South cooperation are of prime importance for developing countries if they are to achieve lasting development, calling for intensification of trade and investments among these countries.El Azami also told this WB-IMF ministerial-level forum for intergovernmental consensus-building on development issues that investing in infrastructure is key to improving citizens’ access to basic services, upgrading the business atmosphere and increasing productivity. The minister, said on behalf of the group comprising Morocco, Afghanistan, Algeria, Ghana, Iran, Pakistan and Tunisia, that developing countries need to carry on reforms meant to improve the business atmosphere, investment level and productivity.last_img
